Chapter - 1 Understanding Diversity

From nature, mankind inherits a variety of things. These include plants, trees, flowers, birds, animals, religion, race, culture and color.
Diversity: The differences in race, religion, caste, etc. are known as diversity.

Social Groups:

  1. Human creatures can't satisfy every one of their needs all alone. They rely upon other social gatherings to satisfy these necessities.
  2. The different gatherings are family, group, country, and universe.
Can Friends be Different:
  1. Nothing stops people from different backgrounds from becoming friends.
  2. Right to Education (RTE)has made provision for poor family children to study in public schools. This reduce diversity.
How Do we Explain Diversity:
  1. Main at first had a traveling existence.
  2. In later stages, men started to coordinate and intermixed with each other.
  3. It prompted the rise of decent variety.
Diversity and Interdependence:
  1. Within a social gathering, differing sorts of exercises are performed relying upon their abilities, interests, and training.
  2. To satisfy one's needs individuals rely upon others.
  3. With the beginning of globalization, the idea of association between assorted ranges has a lift.
Unity in Diversity:
  1. India is where solidarity and decent variety go as one.
  2. Indians held hands against 'Phirangi Sahebs' to free the nation.
  3. Pt. Nehru in his book, 'Revelation of India', composed that Indian solidarity isn't something forced from outside by rather it is something more profound and inside its folds.
Ladakh and Kerala:
  1. Ladakh is a frosty leave in Jammu and Kashmir where sheep are trained, and Buddhism is the primary religion.
  2. Kerala in South India is a multi-religious state and is acclaimed for its flavors and fish.
