Chapter - 9 Urban Livelihoods

• India can easily boast of as many as five thousand towns and nearly twenty-seven big cities.
• These huge urban cities are otherwise called city or just as metros. They have a populace of more than a million people each.
• The huge urban areas are Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Kolkata. In these urban communities, more than a million people live and work.

Occupations- There are three sorts of occupation: primary, secondary and tertiary. In primary occupation individuals are occupied with farming, in secondary occupation individuals are occupied with assembling and preparing or raw material, in tertiary occupations they are occupied with giving administrations.

Types of Livelihoods:
